Events

The main Events planned and run by the Society are Continuing Professional Education workshops/forums and the Annual General Meeting. Check here for our 2019 Calendar of CPE Workshops and Forums.

From time to time special events such as a Social Work Conference or a Quarterly Forum are held to bring SPSW members and their colleagues together to exchange ideas and network with each other.

News Flash!! SPSW Members Now Registered NDIS Providers.

The new NDIS  Provider Registration Guide to Suitability for Western Australia July 2019 reads for Social Workers: “Membership with Australian Association of Social Workers or the Society of Professional Social Workers Inc (SPSW) – in WA only”(p20)

The Society has also published a newsletter, initially the WA Social Work News, and then a new format – ‘In the Loop’ from 2003 til today.

The most recent ones are distributed electronically to members & have details of developments, activities & interesting news items.
