Family Violence Risk Assessment: Identifying Perpetrator Patterns of Coercive Control – Webinar
SPSW is delighted to present this two-hour webinar by Tori Cooke, a senior social worker known throughout WA and Australia in respect to working in the area of men’s behaviour change.
The training will focus on
o Exploring common definitions of coercive control
o Using Biderman’s Chart of Coercion as a helpful resource
o Unpacking common smokescreens that act as barriers to change.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
o Understand the concept of coercive control
o Become aware of a helpful resource to understand the principals of coercive control
o Develop an understanding of the issue related to coercive control
o Identify specific skills of working with client subjected coercive control.
