Understanding and Managing Dependence – Is it Normal Human Behaviour?
March 30 @ 8:45 am - 4:30 pm
The Society is delighted to present this new workshop, Understanding and Managing Dependence –
Is it Normal Human Behaviour?, with Dr Bill Saunders.
Dr Saunders is a Clinical Psychologist who is almost retired. In previous lives he has been an academic, specialising in ‘addiction studies,’ a clinician running alcohol and other drug services, plus head of psychotherapy and director of a private psychiatric facility that managed ‘co-occurring’ drug and mental health problems.
As anyone who has ever attended one of Bill’s workshops know, they are always informative and fun.
This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Explore the nature of addiction through an amalgam of clinical examples, personal experience, some music and research,
- Observe and practice clinical strategies,
- Examine your reliance on things and the challenging process of ‘giving up’ those things upon which we rely.
When: Monday 30th March, 2020
Time: 8:45 am for 9.00 am start – 4:30 pm
Where: North Metropolitan TAFE – Cnr Oxford and Richmond Sts, LEEDERVILLE
